The ideal candidate is an independent, self-motivated, creative professional, capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment and has held a significant role in user experience design in online and/or software applications, excellent communication skills, and a strong intuitive sense of mass-market customer needs. This is an opportunity to join our passionate, talented and growing software team in downtown Seattle. We are looking for someone with the talent to create elegant designs, the skills to participate throughout the end-to-end product development process, and the passion to help us create innovative experiences for our users. This is an active hands-on role, designing the core product user experience tasked with solving both the interaction as well as suggesting solutions to the visual design challenges. The candidate should also be comfortable prototyping their ideas and refining the detailed UI behaviors.

The responsibilities for this position includes
- Producing innovative yet easy to use design solutions that address complex business, marketing and user needs
- Helping outline the user experience direction on new features and playing a key role in defining corresponding feature requirements
- Rapidly developing user flows, schematics, behavioral prototypes, medium-fidelity wireframes, superior visual mock-ups, final design assets and lightweight functional specs
- Working closely with the development team and support UI implementation efforts
- Helping define and champion a user-centered design process

A strong candidate for this role will match many of these criteria
- 5+ years of designing consumer focused rich media web and client application UI
- Demonstration of outstanding design talent and creativity
- Have an understanding of user-centered design process
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
- Strong communications and organizational skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated high proficiency in leading design tools such as Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash with knowledge of ActionScripting, Javascript and CSS a plus
- Have a solid understanding of and perspective on home networking and social media trends and technologies
- BFA or BA degree in design related studies
