The challenges involved in developing a simple, intuitive, yet high quality product reach beyond the hardware of the camcorder to also envelope the software ecosystem which completes the Flip Video experience. Our software vision is all about making the capturing, editing and sharing of visual experiences as easy and as fun as possible.

We have an opportunity for a passionate, talented, hands-on engineering manager to drive our new platform initiative for our FlipShare video software. FlipShare enables our users to save, view, manipulate and share their video. FlipShare is continuing to expand as a gateway to service and access the desktop, TV devices, cameras, web services, content providers and consumers like YouTube, Facebook, and more. You will drive the creation of an extensible, scalable, and pluggable architecture that will form the core of our next generation application. .

Appropriate candidates will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• A passion for building top-of-the-line software
• 7+ years developing widely-used consumer-facing software
• Experience developing component-based architectures with plug-in capabilities
• 5+ years developing software using C/C++
• 3+ years as a manager with a proven ability to attract and retain top talent
• BSCS, BSEE or equivalent

An ideal candidate would also have one or more of the following:

• MSCS or equivalent
• Leadership experience in waterfall or agile environments
• Management of remote or geographically diverse teams
• Experience developing cross platform applications, especially with the Qt framework
