The challenges involved in developing a simple, intuitive, yet high quality product reach beyond the hardware of the camcorder to also envelope the software ecosystem which completes the Flip Video experience. Our software vision is all about making the capturing, editing and sharing of visual experiences as easy and as fun as possible.
We have an opportunity for a passionate and talented Senior Software QA Engineer to join our software engineering family in downtown San Francisco. The right candidate would be responsible for insuring the quality of our cutting-edge software products enabling our customers to have the best possible experience creating and sharing video. The main software components of the Flip Video experience are the desktop application (for Mac and PC platforms) that enables our users to save, view, manipulate and share their video and the surrounding online software ecosystem that the client utilizes. As part of CBG, you will be involved in the quality assurance and on-going improvement of our key software and firmware offerings. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Appropriate candidates will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
• A passion for releasing top-of-the-line software
• Five or more years of software testing in a sophisticated development environment
• Two or more years as a senior tester or lead
• Experience testing desktop software applications
• Proficient in testing cross-platform software applications (Windows & Mac)
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance fundamentals, strategies and technologies
• Ability to understand and effectively own features, be responsible for the overall quality of the product
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional test case writing, test execution and be proficient at writing bug reports
• Experience collaborating and working with offshore teams
• Expert tester and mentor
• Enthusiastic and motivated, with effective organizational and communication skills
• BS Computer Science or equivalent
An ideal candidate would also have one or more of the following:
• Strong grasp of major software and hardware technologies
• Strong passion for video/audio technologies
• Experience in test automation
• A successful track record of releasing "best in quality" consumer software products
• Experience in handling queries from customer support team
