Flip Video exemplifies Cisco’s passion for video. The best-selling brand makes video simple, accessible and fun, allowing users to easily capture and edit videos and then share them instantly with friends, family and on popular video-sharing Web sites.
Cisco Consumer Products is looking for an experienced senior product manager to play a vital role in the development of Flip Video products. The right candidate provides clear product direction of our FlipShare software and associated software products, has excellent communication skills, and expertly guides product definition across life cycles.
Responsibilities for this position include:
* Contributing to the UI experience for our future product line
* Progressively refining designs in collaboration with our design / product / development team
* Producing and delivering final assets
* Coordinating deliverables with internal and external design resources
* Advising and mentoring more junior designers
Candidates for this position must:
* Have strong skills with design authoring tools (Fireworks / Photoshop / Illustrator / Visio / etc)
* Have professional experience in visual design
* Effectively balance multiple projects and reliably meet deadlines
* Understand desktop software interface idioms and information design principles
* Understand the design implications of fundamental Web technologies (HTML / Ajax / etc)
* Work well in a collaborative environment
* Communicate well visually, verbally, interpersonally, and in writing
The ideal candidate will also:
* Have portfolio examples of consumer-facing work
* Have experience within a software development process
* Have strong Fireworks skills
* Have some interest and background in interaction design
* Have Web authoring skills
* Have Flash authoring skills
