Title: Systems Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

The Cisco Consumer Products (CCP) team is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Systems Engineer in the Camera Engineering group of CCP. As Systems Engineer, you will be working with camera engineering teams to define, specify and deliver Flip DVC projects into production. The Flip DVC defined Ease-of-Use in the digital video camera space and as a result is the number one selling DVC in the US. Responsibilities
• Assume Role of Technical Leadership on DVC Projects
• Provide Input to Initial Project Schedules
• Help Identify and Choose Key Technology Components for DVC Products
• Drive Technology Decisions – Make Technology Cost/Benefit Trade-offs
• Write Engineering Specs for DVC Products
• Specifying Product Qualification and Reliability Requirements
• Close Technical Issues Associated with Projects
• Ensure Smooth Transition into Production by Providing Engineering Support in a Variety of Areas
• Along with Project Manager, Assume Overall Project Leadership Responsibility
• Systems Engineer is Responsible for Delivering the Product into Production

Requirements
• Engineering Generalist with understanding of Firmware, Hardware, Mechanical, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering
• Some understanding of Certification Requirements for Consumer Products
• Ability to Work in Fast Paced Cross Functional Environment
• Ability to Identify, Assess Risk, and Solve Complex Problems
• Broad system level understanding of consumer grade handheld devices
• Up to 25% Travel
• 6 Years Experience – at least 2 years is in Consumer Products
• Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
• Strongly Self-motivated and Self-starting

Preferred Candidates will Have
• Imaging Experience – Optics, Image Sensor, Image Processing, or Image Quality Experience
• 1 Year Camera Design Experience
• Experience with Project Co-Development with Asian ODMs
• WiFi Experience
• Fluency in Mandarin
